Could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service

We are receiving reports of users who have updated their iPhone 3G to the new iPhone 3.0 OS recently and now cannot access their Exchange 2003/Echange 2007 server. They are receiving the following error message: “Could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service”

If you contact Apple support or AT&T support they act clueless!

Yet there is a real reason why you are receiving this error message. If you took your BlackBerry sim card and placed it into your iPhone, this violates your BlackBerry contract. In other words, Apple and AT&T want you to purchase an iPhone Data plan. OUCH!

Here is an interesting link which will help you around these problems: www.unlockit.co.nz Unlockit provides an APN changer allowing you to use your BlackBerry sim card in your Apple iPhone.

If you are having troubles with your iPhone Exchange 2003 / Exchange 2007 setup, please contact us today: 480-440-4650 / Skype: TECHNOKOZ

I recently bought a second hand unlocked 2g iPhone and am using my Tmobile sim card (Contract) which I removed from my BlackBerry. I tried to upgrade to the new 3.0 service but got locked out. I have been able to unlock the phone but am unable to access Cellular Data service. Hope you can help
